Advocacy Task Force

The Advocacy Task Force (ATF) is developing a planned, deliberate, and sustained effort to increase awareness of and support for the CIARD vision and Manifesto amongst key stakeholders at policy and institutional level.
Terms of Reference for the Advocacy Task Force:
  • develop and amend as appropriate the CIARD Manifesto and Values
  • develop a toolkit (comprising Checklists and Pathways) in consultation with stakeholders that guides institutions to plan their CIARD-related activities and to monitor their progress in achieving the CIARD Values  
  • develop advocacy materials highlighting key messages for the different types of individuals (information specialists, researchers, managers) that can be used by institutions to market CIARD
  • identify opportunities for promoting the CIARD movement and advocating participation
  • formulate, implement, and review regularly an advocacy plan and activities for the CIARD movement aimed at increasing the number of institutional partners
  • facilitate collection of evidence of successful adoption of CIARD Checklists in the form of case studies – through the other Task Forces and directly with national institutions
