Instructions for participating in CIARD by registering an organizational Checklist profile on the website

A.      Registering a user account

Click on “Create new account” on the right hand side of the Community page and fill the registration form. You will receive an email with the login link and information on your password.

B.      Registering an organizational Checklist profile for the participating organization

Any user with an account on the CIARD website can register an organizational profile for a participating organization (Institution, consortium, initiative...). The organizational profile includes soem basic information about the organization and the status of their institution’s achievement of the items in the CIARD Checklist.
Each user should not register more than one organization (the organization where he works and by which he is authorized to do so).
Once the user is logged in, the link to register a new organizational profile is under the “User” menu on the right, or in the “Checklist status” page (“View / edit / add the checklist status of your organization”).
Before adding a new organization, users should check under “My records” in their User menu to see if they already created that record in the past and under Participants to see if the organization has already been registered by someone else. If it has been registered by another user, we can put the two users in contact and they can decide who should be the "owner" of the record.

C.      Updating information on an organization / uploading a logo

Users can access the organization record they created from “My records” in their User menu on the right. In order to edit information or upload a new logo, they can click on the Edit link for that record.

D.      Updating an existing organizational profile created by another user

If a user feels he is entitled to maintain an organizational profile that has been registered by another user, we can put the user in contact with the author of the original record and they can decide who should be the "owner" of the record. In case the original user does not reply and the record is therefore un-maintained, we can transfer the record to the new user.
