As part of its services to members and the global agricultural information community IAALD has championed innovative techniques to communicate with these groups in the field of information and knowledge management. IAALD uses blogs, Flickr, e-newsletters, RSS feeds, SlideShare, Blip.tv, discussion forums, and other techniques to communicate with, and stimulate communication among, its’ users.

Through its social media applications, world and regional congresses and meetings, and professional development services, IAALD advocates for collaboration in and coordination of efforts to increase access to worldwide agricultural research, education, and outreach knowledge and resources.
