A Regional Training Workshop on "Building National Information Management and Knowledge Exchange Capacities for Agricultural Research for Development in Near East Region", organized by AARINENA, FAO, GFAR & ICARDA, was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 17 to 20 May 2009 (more information here).
One day of this workshop was allocated to introducing and discussing the CIARD agenda with the colleagues from national institutions, with facilitation provided by Ajit Maru of GFAR, Nihad Maliha of ICARDA/CGIAR, and Stephen Rudgard of FAO. As a result of this discussion, a range of changes are being made to the CIARD communication material and tools.
